In the early days of his professional work, he joined the Walt Disney Company in 1994. Throughout his 24-year tenure with the company, he worked in various positions, from a performer and stage manager to choreographer and production manager, between 1994 and 2012. He subsequently spent two years as a resource manager of production, followed by another year as a producer and three years as the proprietor of entertainment operations from 2015 to 2018.

Progressing in his career, Mr. Baker-Hargrove desired to become involved in the nonprofit sector, through which he could seek growth and opportunities while making a positive impact on the LGBTQ+ community. Alongside the added leadership of his spouse, David, he became the co-founder, co-chief executive officer, and chief operations officer of 26Health in Orlando in 2018. To attest to its success, 26Health was honored as Non-Profit of the Year for stepping up amid the gay nightclub shooting at Pulse in Orlando in 2016 and was nominated for an Eagle Award by the African American Chamber of Commerce.

In 2023, Mr. Baker-Hargrove left 26Health and, together with David, officially launched BHC Assessment and Consulting, which is the culmination of the duo’s collective years in the areas of “nonprofits, for-profits, sole proprietorships, partnerships, and other business make-up and leaders, owners, consultants, and entrepreneurs.” They strive to share lessons they have learned in the past decades to help  owners and leaders grow and develop their businesses. Mr. Baker-Hargrove serves as the co-founder, co-CEO, and COO of the company. In January 2024, Mr. Baker-Hargrove was officially appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Cavaliers Arts, Performance & Education, Inc.

As an extension of his work, Mr. Baker-Hargrove has lent his expertise as an entertainment executive producer for the Come Out with Pride entertainment committee for the central Florida LGBTQ+ community. He was also active on the leadership team of PRIDE, Disney Resource Group, served on the board of the Mental Health Association of Central Florida and was treasurer of the Florida State Board of Directors for Mental Health.
